Green, Gold, Blue and Orange

I spent a delightful day participating in the University of Illinois Extension - Statewide Master Gardener Conference in Moline, IL.  Held at the iWireless Center, this event had over 300 participants from around the state, many vendors, educational opportunities, etc.  The Center also has a 12,000 seat arena which I thought we be needed for my presentations but we had a slightly smaller crowd.  My presentations on Vertical Gardening and Ferns & Mosses seemed well received and it was a fun group.  The UofI folks ran a smooth event and I had an uneventful trip back this afternoon.  Across from the iWireless Center (see below) was the John Deere Pavilion (further below) so green and yellow/gold were well represented in town (see below!).  The vendor area was neat too for this event.  Back to multi-tasking on Monday!

neat orange and blue (Fighting Illini) display!
more mums (smaller and more expensive than ours!)
gazing globes for the fairy garden!?  These are 3" tall!  Really?
this could be helpful at work (maybe a donation?)
