A Good "Plant Fix"

The wife, younger daughter and I went to Milwaukee, WI today and enjoyed the Mitchell Park Domes. These three domes, built in 1967, are all 140 feet in diameter at the base and 85 feet high. This offers 15,000 square of growing space The themes are desert, tropical and a floral dome that changes over displays 3-4 times each year. We enjoyed the visit and some of my many photos are included here. Note at the bottom, the variegated leaf of the 'AeAe' banana (Musa sp.). There was a huge one over 25' tall and I couldn't believe the fruit cluster (look closely) that has variegated peels!!!! Check it out. The bottom photo is an art piece being used to promote some events at the Domes.
